The Complete Book of Butt and Legs by Kurt Brungardt

Author Kurt Brungardt puts forth another great training book. This book contains dozens and dozens of exercises for the butt and thighs. What I like about the butt and thigh routines is that they are not all bulky muscle builders for men. Several of the exercises are designed to chisel a women's thighs and butts into toned, defined muscles. Just as important as the exercises themselves are the routines and sequences to achieve fast, long lasting results.

The author, Kurt Brungardt, takes the reader through low, medium and high level risk exercises with body weight, weights, machines and the swimming pool. In the back of the book, he introduces routines used by athletes and personal trainers. One in particular, is a combination squat and butt squeeze. Guarantee for a good muscle burn and tone that area in record time.

The other favorite routine that I have successfully used with my female clients is one of the diamond calf routine. By positioning your feet differently during 3 sets of calf raises, you get a major muscle burn all of the way up your calves, thighs and butt. It is a real attention getter. Many of my clients have commented on this routine on both the intensity and the results. It give more results in a shorter period of time than hours of aerobic exercise.

The only short-comings of this book is the lack of in-depth stretching and nutritional advice. Where muscle training is important, stretching is required for faster recovery and healing. Nutrition is paramount in any conditioning routine. It can make or break your training success.

Otherwise, it is a recommended read for anyone interested in developing their butt and legs.
